do i detect some similarities between the two chunks of text? 4 chicken nuggets equate to 4 deck chairs? trademarked sign corresponding to faint yellow glowing? i see some interesting comparisons here between these two stanzas. and each one is illustrated in such a sense-stimulating way. i can taste the grainy salt from the first line. and i can feel the uncomfortable and shabby chairs (wicker?). and i can feel the thick grease of fast food diluted by watery catsup. and i can see the lightbulbs flickering on the porch with their mismatched wattage, buzzing in their sockets. i am slapped in the face by a corporate logo on a soda cup. and i am engulfed in the flourescence of a roadside fastfood sign.

there's some incredible correspondence here between these two scenes and its very astute of you to notice these small things in two completely separate places and liken them to one another using color, sight, and touch.

and bravo on making use of the scanner for the first time on this blog. i think i'll post the stuff we made the last time i was over.

actually i wrote them in one sitting in a wendy's with doc & greg. the one side is about the dinning experience the other is about the place.
