i wish i could read the words hidden behind the phone diagrams. from all i can see, it looks very interesting. a neat little piece of prose poatry. i think you should see what you can do with this piece on its own and polish it a bit. the phone diagrams make it so visual. the text is a simple square block without much to look at, but the pictures of the phone make it so technical and interactive. it really encourages the reader to think and make his/her own connections from one phone to another along your hand-drawn lines.
i also think this illustration would be better if each diagram was labeled "fig. 1" and "fig. 2" in italics. but that's just a preference.
